As our community approaches the upcoming Avonworth School Board election, it’s important to consider not just promises, but experience, perspective, and a proven commitment to education. With over 20 years in the classroom and in school administration, I’ve seen firsthand the challenges and opportunities our schools face – and I’m ready to continue bringing that knowledge to the board.
Our district is navigating a number of pressing issues:
- Taxes and Fiscal Responsibility – Every decision the board makes affects local taxes. I understand the importance of balancing budgets while ensuring that our schools have the resources they need to succeed.
- Academic Excellence – Students deserve an education that prepares them for the future. I will advocate for programs and initiatives that support learning, growth, and innovation across all grade levels.
- Community Engagement – Schools are at the heart of our community. I believe in transparent decision-making and in listening to parents, teachers, and students to make sure all voices are heard.
Having spent decades in education, I’ve seen the impact that thoughtful leadership can have. I’ve guided students, collaborated with colleagues, and worked alongside families to ensure success for every child. I know what works, and I know where we can improve.
I’m running for Avonworth School Board because our community deserves experienced, committed leadership that puts students first while keeping a responsible eye on taxes and resources. Together, we can continue to build a school system we’re proud of.
